COVID-19 and MCO Resources for Malaysians
Our lives have changed drastically in such a short span of time and it can be overwhelming to deal with such a change. Some of us are lucky enough to still have our jobs, but there are large parts of our society that are now out of work. For some, having our children at home means that they’re not learning maths and science in school. For others, the inactivity and lack of social interaction can creep up on us and weigh on our emotions. And it’s also hard to keep up with all of the news surrounding COVID-19 and what you can do to help yourself and others during this…

Month in Review: July 2019
Whatttttt is upppp y’alllll? July has been a heck of a month. A concoction of stress, falling ill, breakdowns, big news and happy moments made for an emotional rollercoaster ride. Ready for the shocker? Money Yes, your eyes do not deceive you. I spend over SGD8k this month. I don’t even want to convert that amount back to Ringgit. I guess I have some explaining to do, don’t I? Very well, here’s a breakdown of the significant expenses in descending order. Family – SGD 4,594.49 In my last monthly review (technically mid-year review), I went through my New Year list to cross off goals that seemed super unrealistic. One of…

Month in Review: March 2019
March flew by before I even got a chance to enjoy it properly. Can you believe we’re already three months into the year? Let’s get to the good stuff first. Month in Review: February 2019
Hello, readers! Hope you’re all well. I took a bit of a hiatus (unintentional) in February, mostly to deal with a stressful workload. Truthfully, I was also feeling uninspired, having a dreadful writer’s block. Consistency has always been a struggle for me, especially when my attention is spread very thin at the moment. How do some of y’all do it? Like, how do you juggle a job, all these side-hustles, write blog posts, exercise, meal prep, read, and have a social life without having a fucking burnout from doing too much? Please message me your secrets, I’ll pay good money for ’em. I apologize for the social media absence as…

Month in Review: January 2019
A new year bears a lot of significance. A turning point, a change, a fresh start. We start the year vowing to work towards a better version of ourselves. And then reality sets in. While there are some fine cracks reappearing in parts of my life, at least I’m on track when it comes to my money goals this year. Here’s how I fared in January. Money The biggest expense in January was a loan repayment to a friend who kindly helped me out during my first month trying to settle in Singapore. I’m always grateful for people looking out for me because, well, call me a pessimist but I…
